Howl Jenkins and Sophie Hatter
Based on Howl's Moving Castle book by
Diana Wynne Jones.
For this character design, the idea was to create something different from Studio Ghibli's version of the character.
In the movie, Howl is a handsome and almost androgynous man. He is somewhat ethereal, and way less edgy than in the book. I wanted his expression to be sorta mischievous.
Sophie, on the other side, is way more classical.
I really liked that scene in which she talked to the hats she was making.
